Apostles' Creed

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

*that is, the true Christian church of all times and all places

__________
This creed is called the Apostles' Creed not because it was produced by the
apostles themselves but because it contains a brief summary of their
teachings. It sets forth their doctrine "in sublime simplicity, in
unsurpassable brevity, in beautiful order, and with liturgical solemnity." In
its present form it is dated no later than the fourth century. More than any
other Christian creed, it may justly be called an ecumenical symbol of faith.
This translation of the Latin text was approved by the CRC Synod of 1988.

Prayer to Relax from stress

Prayer to Relax to Stress

Relax, God can handle what we cannot handle ourselves. Pray and rest in His peace. Be true before the Lord and believe in His truth. And in His Peace. He has chosen to love us. Give Him thanks, and rest in his mercy, love and grace. Amen
If you are having a storm move through your life, trust Jesus with it today. Trust Him with it all.. Good, Bad or ugly. He alone is King, and His love and sacrifice are enough. He is a God of Mercy and Love. He did it all for me, and you. He is above all and will do and has done battle against the sprints of darkness for our sake.
It is his will that none should perish and all would come to know Him and fellowship with Him, and commune with Him. .. Even unto everlasting.. Yes indeed, even then.. amen? Amen.

Colossians 3 - KJV - How Well Are You Listening?

Colossians 3:1:
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Colossians 3:2:
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Colossians 3:3:
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:4:
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Colossians 3:5:

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
Colossians 3:6:
For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
Colossians 3:7:
In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
Colossians 3:8:
But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.
Colossians 3:9:
Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds;
Colossians 3:10:
And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him:
Colossians 3:11:
Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.
Colossians 3:12:
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
Colossians 3:13:
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
Colossians 3:14:
And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
Colossians 3:15:
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Colossians 3:16:
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
Colossians 3:17:
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Colossians 3:18:

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
Colossians 3:19:
Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
Colossians 3:20:
Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
Colossians 3:21:
Fathers, provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.
Colossians 3:22:
Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:
Colossians 3:23:
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
Colossians 3:24:
Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:25:
But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

Revelation 4:1-2 KJV

1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

About Deacons.

8 In the same way, deacons[b] are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. 9 They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. 10 They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.

11 In the same way, the women[c] are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.

12 A deacon must be faithful to his wife and must manage his children and his household well. 13 Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.

The Book of James-Chapter 3 - The Holy Bible- ESV

James 3:1:
Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness.
James 3:2:
For we all stumble in many ways, and if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body.
James 3:3:
If we put bits into the mouths of horses so that they obey us, we guide their whole bodies as well.
James 3:4:
Look at the ships also: though they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are guided by a very small rudder wherever the will of the pilot directs.
James 3:5:
So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things.

How great a forest is set ablaze by such a small fire!
James 3:6:
And the tongue is a fire, a world of unrighteousness. The tongue is set among our members, staining the whole body, setting on fire the entire course of life, and set on fire by hell.
James 3:7:
For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and sea creature, can be tamed and has been tamed by mankind,
James 3:8:
but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
James 3:9:
With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse people who are made in the likeness of God.
James 3:10:
From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
James 3:11:
Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water?
James 3:12:
Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water.

James 3:13:
Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the meekness of wisdom.
James 3:14:
But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth.
James 3:15:
This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.
James 3:16:
For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.
James 3:17:
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.
James 3:18:
And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

The Book of James- Chapter TWO. "Walking Further with Christ"

James 2:1:
My brothers, show no partiality as you hold the faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory.
James 2:2:
For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly, and a poor man in shabby clothing also comes in,
James 2:3:
and if you pay attention to the one who wears the fine clothing and say, You sit here in a good place, while you say to the poor man, You stand over there, or, Sit down at my feet,
James 2:4:
have you not then made distinctions among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
James 2:5:
Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?
James 2:6:
But you have dishonored the poor man. Are not the rich the ones who oppress you, and the ones who drag you into court?
James 2:7:
Are they not the ones who blaspheme the honorable name by which you were called?

James 2:8:
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you are doing well.
James 2:9:
But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
James 2:10:
For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it.
James 2:11:
For he who said, Do not commit adultery, also said, Do not murder. If you do not commit adultery but do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
James 2:12:
So speak and so act as those who are to be judged under the law of liberty.
James 2:13:
For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.

James 2:14:
What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him?
James 2:15:
If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food,
James 2:16:
and one of you says to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled, without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that?
James 2:17:
So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.

James 2:18:
But someone will say, You have faith and I have works. Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
James 2:19:
You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder!
James 2:20:
Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?
James 2:21:
Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?
James 2:22:
You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works;
James 2:23:
and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness—and he was called a friend of God.
James 2:24:
You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
James 2:25:
And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way?
James 2:26:
For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.

John 10. Jesus Is The Great Shepherd. One our Foundational Chapters

John 10:1:

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door but climbs in by another way, that man is a thief and a robber.
John 10:2:
But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
John 10:3:
To him the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
John 10:4:
When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.
John 10:5:
A stranger they will not follow, but they will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers.
John 10:6:
This figure of speech Jesus used with them, but they did not understand what he was saying to them.

John 10:7:
So Jesus again said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
John 10:8:
All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them.
John 10:9:
I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.
John 10:10:
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
John 10:11:
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
John 10:12:
He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them.
John 10:13:
He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
John 10:14:
I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me,
John 10:15:
just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.
John 10:16:
And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd.
John 10:17:
For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again.
John 10:18:
No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.

John 10:19:
There was again a division among the Jews because of these words.
John 10:20:
Many of them said, He has a demon, and is insane; why listen to him?
John 10:21:
Others said, These are not the words of one who is oppressed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?

John 10:22:
At that time the Feast of Dedication took place at Jerusalem. It was winter,
John 10:23:
and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the colonnade of Solomon.
John 10:24:
So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly.
John 10:25:
Jesus answered them, I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name bear witness about me,
John 10:26:
but you do not believe because you are not part of my flock.
John 10:27:
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
John 10:28:
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
John 10:29:
My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
John 10:30:
I and the Father are one.

John 10:31:
The Jews picked up stones again to stone him.
John 10:32:
Jesus answered them, I have shown you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you going to stone me?
John 10:33:
The Jews answered him, It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God.
John 10:34:
Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your Law, I said, you are gods?
John 10:35:
If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and Scripture cannot be broken—
John 10:36:
do you say of him whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, You are blaspheming, because I said, I am the Son of God?
John 10:37:
If I am not doing the works of my Father, then do not believe me;
John 10:38:
but if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.
John 10:39:
Again they sought to arrest him, but he escaped from their hands.

John 10:40:
He went away again across the Jordan to the place where John had been baptizing at first, and there he remained.
John 10:41:
And many came to him. And they said, John did no sign, but everything that John said about this man was true.
John 10:42:
And many believed in him there.

Acts Chapter One.... Good stuff indeed..

Acts 1:1:
The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

Acts 1:2:
Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:

Acts 1:3:
To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

Acts 1:4:
And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

Acts 1:5:
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

Faith. Got It?

James 1:1:
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.

James 1:2:

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

James 1:3:
Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

James 1:4:
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

James 1:5:
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 1:6:
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

James 1:7:
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

James 1:8:
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

James 1:9:
Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:

James 1:10:
But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

James 1:11:
For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

James 1:12:
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

James 1:13:
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

James 1:14:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

James 1:15:
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

James 1:16:
Do not err, my beloved brethren.

James 1:17:
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

James 1:18:
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

James 1:19:

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

James 1:20:
For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

James 1:21:
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

James 1:22:
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

James 1:23:
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:

James 1:24:
For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.

James 1:25:
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

James 1:26:
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

James 1:27:
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

From House Church with a borrowed Camper...to homelessness

Please Keep us in your prayers..
One thing that we may have failed to mention is.. We have been living in a borrowed camper.
Due to lack of room.. we have had service in out yard.
Trying to accommodate 8-15 adults, and somewhere near 20 children for potluck and service has been a challenge indeed.
In Fact we had asked the person in charge to let us know when we had over grown the space, so we could start Church in the park.
This great man seemed to be moved by the good Lord Jesus, as he would do no more than ask for prayer for his family, which we did.
And God answered with Mercy, and healing.

But the people grumbled amongst,themselves.
And complained to him..but he would not come against our fellowship.
Bless God and whom it may concern.

The next step the people took was to complain to the owner of the lot we had rented.
The man choose to call the police, who told me i was trespassing , because the utilities were not in my name. The Utilities i explained were in my wifes name. They also informed me I needed to be off the property by 6pm that night.(Tuesday)
I asked for any paper work they might have.. They had nothing of the sort.. Neither did i have any instructions, from the park, concerning the rules or anything of the sort.
I explained that my Wife, (newly wed this last Saturday), had decide to sleep at different locations until the wedding.
We had been practicing sexual purity.
I told them we would comply,.
I went in to tell my wife, and my daughter came running up saying "Dad, Dad, the cops are back."
I stepped out to meet them.
They told me that they had talked to the land owner, and we had till Saturday...(today) to be out, or i was going to be arrested.
Still no paper work.
I told them again, we will comply.
Where we are going is still to be known.
Loosing ones place of fellowship, and housing is a heavy burden.
The Borrowed camper will go back to the owner.
Our Church equipment, will be stored here and there.
Ironically, one of our mission goals is to start a shelter for the homeless.
What a strange thing it is, we are now in need of such a mission ourselves.

Trusting God, knowing Jesus is King.
Praying fervently.
We ask you all to pray also.
We will not stop serving Him, and Praising Him.

We stepped out of the boat with Him sometime ago.
Bless God, He will not leave us.

Today is not written yet,
So please pray, and Please reach out if you can.
We are a new Church and a new family.
We don't wish to be broken.

In His Presence we will stand..
In Faith.

Apostles' Creed

Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,

creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,

who was conceived by the Holy Spirit

and born of the virgin Mary.

He suffered under Pontius Pilate,

was crucified, died, and was buried;

he descended to hell.
